St. Johns County Living

A relocator's notebook for Northeast Florida

Central county

World Golf Village / St. Johns

World Golf Village sits between St. Augustine and the north-county boom: resorts, residential villages, and a practical location if you fly often.

Feel. Golf-oriented, convenient to I-95, a mix of neighborhoods rather than one downtown.

Commute notes. I-95 is the spine; airport access is often easier than from the historic district.

World Golf Village is less a single neighborhood than a cluster: the Hall of Fame area, surrounding subdivisions, and retail along International Golf Parkway. It is convenient. It is not walkable in the St. Augustine sense.

Many relocators land here because the housing stock is newer and the highway is close. That same highway is the soundtrack on some lots. Drive the street at the hour you would actually commute.

Compare it with Nocatee if schools and amenities are the priority, and with St. Augustine if you want a historic downtown in your weekly rhythm.
